About Total War: WARHAMMER III

About this game

The coming conflict will engulf all. Will you conquer your daemons? Or command them? It's time to find out with your Total War: WARHAMMER III Steam PC key. In this action strategy from renowned developer Creative Assembly, you'll lead one of four initial races in a gripping war for survival.

CAUSE FOR CHAOS

Far beyond the world and its petty wars there exists a dimension of pure, malevolent magic: The Realm of Chaos. It is a terrible place, incomprehensible to the mortal mind. It whispers promises of power, but to behold it is to be seduced by it.

To relinquish your soul to it... to become it.

CHOOSE YOUR ARMY. LEAD YOUR PEOPLE

The four Ruinous Powers rule over this place, ever seeking to slip their bonds and engulf the world in a tide of daemonic corruption. Nurgle, the plague god; Slaanesh, the lord of excess; Tzeentch, the changer of ways; and Khorne, the god of blood and slaughter.

On the border between the worlds, two mighty kingdoms stand sentinel: the stern warriors of Kislev and the vast empire of Grand Cathay. But each is beset by its own trials, and now both have cause to cross the threshold and send their armies into the Realm of Chaos.

The world stands on a precipice, and a single push will plunge it into cataclysm. There is one who schemes to achieve just that, an ancient figure who desires nothing less than to wield supreme power. But to succeed, he will need a champion…

Choose from nine playable Legendary Lords that will lead your race into battle, and enjoy a wider selection of individual races than any previous Total War: WARHAMMER core title.

  • Rise in the name of Chaos Undivided as the immortal Daemon Prince, leading the Legion of Chaos. Create your own unique daemonic design, and unleash the combined power of the four Chaos Gods upon your enemies!

Overall a good experience and addition to the Warhammer series and Total War in general. The only reason it loses a star for me is, at the time of writing this review, (Feb 24, 2022) it has a lot of bugs, including ones that were known about it previous Total War: Warhammer games. Once those are patched out (hopefully before the much awaited Mortal Empires expansion) I can give TW:W3 5/5 stars. Still, overall, a great game.

Total Warhammer 3 incorporates many great quality of life improvements from Total War three kingdoms and feels like it is the pinnacle of Total War so far. The factions feel incredibly disparate and as a former tabletop hobbyist who has played Warhammer Fantasy Battles, with Khorne, Tzeentch and Nurgle Armies, I'm pleased to say that this nails it. So far I've put in about 35 hours into the Kislev campaign, and can confidently say I will be playing this for some time to come. This is my personal game of the year (maybe the next several) as I don't feel like I'll be done playing it anytime soon. Between the intricate battles and the engaging campaign map, managing heroes, cities and armies, this is a Warhammer Fantasy fan's dream game. Immortal Empires being included (which when it releases will integrate the races and world from the first two games) only sweetens the deal as there is a nearly limitless amount of play experiences and campaigns to go through on the world map.

Yeah it's pretty good! New races are fun. Bit glitchy but what isn't these days so it will get sorted but it's nothing game breaking. Definitely the best of the 3!

All eight factions are great additions to the game, including the Ogre Kingdoms DLC, but suffer from having to deal with bad campaign mechanics. The Realms of Chaos are an annoyance, even worse to handle when you compete with other AI factions for the goal in said realms when they appear. AI ranges from decent to needing some real fine tuning, especially on higher difficulties. Bugs also ruin the experience, whether it's related to income as you expand, or the AI getting around restrictions the players are stuck with. All in all, wait several months until the worldwide campaign is released for all factions, or wait until this campaign is fixed.

Total War turned up to 11. Waiting for the Immortal Empires expansion combining the first and second maps, but enjoying the game so far. Lots of improvements in gameplay and graphics, and new and interesting factions.

Another amazing warhammer total war. If you like one and two then this just improves in lots of areas. New races all very diverse with lots of unique units and play styles. All of the races are enjoyable there not a race that’s awful. The A.I seems a lot more challenging and attacks and defends in a logical way similar to real people. The campaign map is not to new but the added extras are good (trade caravans, chaos realms, ice court build your demon etc) These new things really add to the overall campaign Lastly the multiplayer is so much better you can both have turns at the same time saving hours. Diplomacy let’s you swap territory and last the outpost which lets you recruit of units you befriend into your army. My only negatives are little bit glitchy pathfinding sometimes in a busy town or siege. Archers sometimes won’t fire when they should and it will crash occasionally.
