As someone who loved the previous Borderlands games this was an instant purchase for me. Now I personally didn't like the main game story at all the DLCs were amazing and I've spent an insane amount of time grinding out perfect anointed weapons with different elements. I still have to finish the last expansion and I also have to grab Tiny Tina's Wonderlands now so I have stuff to grind for sure.

OMG just stop talking and let me shoot some stuff. Character dialogue NEVER ends in your earpiece or however they're communicating with you, being able to stop that crap would be a nice option for the game. Don't get me started on the social-media themed plot and main enemies. Endless annoyance.

Another game in the Borderlands series, the same shoot and loot. The same hunt for the vault. Now, it's getting a little stale. What's adding to it is that they changed the vault hunters that you play. For those that got invested and interested in the original vault hunters, now to get invested in new vault hunters, is an epic fail on the developer's part. This is where another developer went astray with when they took out their repeating series of characters out of the mix in their best-selling series of games. The next game flopped as expected.
The two somewhat of a bright spots in the game is the platform cross-play that they made available. This is the first game that I've seen this way. Kudos to the Developers. While I don't play multiplayer for a variety of reasons, many who do, like this feature. The next is the event feature, and I hope that they keep having events after the next Borderlands game come out (which I don't think I'll be getting, the system requirements are getting ridiculous).
Overall, the storyline, while OK, and almost a repeat from the last game, and the game itself has great playability mechanics and replay value, the series itself is getting stale. 4/5 Stars.
