About Prey

About this game

Are you Predator or Prey?

Story

In Prey, you awaken aboard Talos I, a space station orbiting the moon in the year 2032. You are the key subject of an experiment meant to alter humanity forever – but things have gone terribly wrong. The space station has been overrun by hostile aliens and you are now being hunted. As you dig into the dark secrets of Talos I and your own past, you must survive using the tools found on the station -- your wits, weapons, and mind-bending abilities. The fate of the Talos I and everyone aboard is in your hands.

YOUR OFFICIAL PREY STEAM KEY GIVES YOU:

  • A Sci-fi Thriller
Nothing is as it seems aboard Talos I. As Morgan Yu, set out to unravel the clues you've left behind for yourself, and discover the truth about your past. What role will you play in TranStar’s plans, and the mysterious threat ravaging the station?

  • A Singular Setting
Orbiting the Moon, the Talos I space station symbolizes the height of private space enterprise. Explore a lavish craft designed to reflect the corporate luxury of the 1960s, and navigate interconnected, non-linear pathways built to hide countless secrets.

  • An Unimaginable Threat
The shadowy extraterrestrial presence infesting Talos I is a living ecology bent on annihilating its prey. It’s up to you, one of the last remaining survivors aboard the station, to end the deadly attack of these haunting predators.

  • A Challenge
Customize your gameplay options and difficulty settings for an even more tailored adventure. You can make the experience more challenging (or easier) by changing a myriad of parameters related to stealth, movement and combat.

  • Your Own Way to Play
Gain alien abilities to develop a distinct combination of powers and upgrade your unique skills. Craft increasingly useful items with the blueprints, gadgets and tools on board the station to overcome dangerous obstacles in your way. Survive unprecedented threats with your wits and ability to improvise.

"With a setting that tells a story better than any human voice, Prey's combat and quests will suck you even deeper into its world."
8 / 10
"Prey's space station is fantastically explorable and its shape-shifting enemies maintain tension when combat doesn't."

Unable to disable Motion BLur in this game which for me is very hard to go through with this game but other then that its a good game: “Prey” is a meticulously crafted first-person adventure that weaves an intricate narrative set against the backdrop of the Talos I space station. Developed by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks in 2017, the game draws players into a world where reality blurs, and the line between friend and foe becomes increasingly ambiguous. The storyline follows Morgan Yu, a scientist waking up to a station in chaos, plagued by a hostile alien species known as the Typhon.

I actually have played this game before this purchase, and got this as a gift to a friend. Do I really need to endorse it more than that? There is very little I had issue with in this game and is one of the best FPS action games I have ever played. Is it perfect? No, but it's certainly closer than most games of the genre. If you like sci-fi, mystery, and blowing stuff up then this is the game for you.

1st run in Easy mode. Took 15-16 Hours doing side quests which i deemed for the best ending. Did a 2nd New game + run with Max abilities and "Story Mode" and it took 5 hours(To get the rarest achievement without DLC). Its gameplay is kinda like Deus Ex which concentrates on Stealth and infiltrating MOST of the time. There are no Hubs per say but you can still interact with some people. Its the kind of game where when it clicks with you and understood how it works(specially since it gives the player lots of choices) it is quite good. I don't normally play this type of games specially since Dishonored didn't click with me but it made me want to try again. The freedom you get does also cause some getting used to. There are no easy steps or QOL like when clicking a button on a Computer screen it manual pressing but it allows the game to flow and immerse yourself with its surroundings. If this was normal or harder modes you will SURELY take longer and probably also have to stick a lot to stealth gameplay while Easy and specially Normal you can fight it out with most enemies Pros - Immersive world and experience - Choices matter - Has replayability - Design choices makes it hard to say that this gameplay element is a Con.

A mix of Half-Life and Bioshock, an experiment going awry on an idyllic space station. I do not want to spoil it, but some weapons can be used for various things such as traversal or hacking, just play the game, it is awesome. 5 ice cubes out of 5 NWA albums.

Aboard Talos I, a mysterious evil lurks, and it's down you to find out more about it. Question is, do you want to put your life - and your underwear - at risk? Prey continuously terrifies you, but it's so wildly enjoyable that you won't mind, not one bit. This is the terrifying Steam key that you need in your library.
