About Far Cry 3

About this game

Developed and published by Ubisoft.

Go on a quest to save your friends from a ruthless, slave-driving pirate named Vaas Montenegro in this action-packed open-world first-person shooter!

Barely Escaped

Jason Brody is on vacation with his friends in Bangkok, Thailand in hopes of enjoying a skydiving trip. Unfortunately, they've stepped into a pirate-occupied land — the Rook islands. That's where Vaas Montenegro — the pirate lord — captures them, and Jason barely manages to escape. Now it's his job to save his friends from Vaas' ruthlessness.

Meet the Cast

In Far Cry 3, you'll find a diverse cast of disturbed and engaging characters. From terrifying to funny, you'll see every facet of humanity in this story, written by a Writers Guild Award winner. You'll never forget this cast.

In Your Control

Not only can you customize your weapons and skills in Far Cry 3, you can also choose what approach you'll take to every situation — whether you sneak and take enemies out or run and gun your way through every scenario; you can do as you please!

Scenery

The world is as beautiful as it is dangerous in Far Cry 3. You'll explore gorgeous, sandy beaches and mountain ranges and cross dangerous swampy grasslands; the world is your playground.

More Than Shooting

Saving your friends from Vaas is a priority, but you'll also do much more than that. Discover relics, hunt for food, play mini-games, and more in Far Cry 3! The journey is more than its destination.

Invite Friends

Far Cry 3 has a full co-op campaign, meaning you can invite up to three friends to help you rescue everyone!

Multiplayer

Aside from experiencing the story with friends, you can also invite them to matches. It's more than just playing together, too, as you'll need to work in a team to be stronger: use battle cries, revive fallen friends, and even use support weapons.

Make It Yours

The intuitive Far Cry 3 Map Editor is back, meaning you can easily create your own maps or use the ones made by the community to ensure you'll always have an influx of content!
