About Total War: WARHAMMER III

About this game

The coming conflict will engulf all. Will you conquer your daemons? Or command them? It's time to find out with your Total War: WARHAMMER III Steam PC key. In this action strategy from renowned developer Creative Assembly, you'll lead one of four initial races in a gripping war for survival.

CAUSE FOR CHAOS

Far beyond the world and its petty wars there exists a dimension of pure, malevolent magic: The Realm of Chaos. It is a terrible place, incomprehensible to the mortal mind. It whispers promises of power, but to behold it is to be seduced by it.

To relinquish your soul to it... to become it.

CHOOSE YOUR ARMY. LEAD YOUR PEOPLE

The four Ruinous Powers rule over this place, ever seeking to slip their bonds and engulf the world in a tide of daemonic corruption. Nurgle, the plague god; Slaanesh, the lord of excess; Tzeentch, the changer of ways; and Khorne, the god of blood and slaughter.

On the border between the worlds, two mighty kingdoms stand sentinel: the stern warriors of Kislev and the vast empire of Grand Cathay. But each is beset by its own trials, and now both have cause to cross the threshold and send their armies into the Realm of Chaos.

The world stands on a precipice, and a single push will plunge it into cataclysm. There is one who schemes to achieve just that, an ancient figure who desires nothing less than to wield supreme power. But to succeed, he will need a champion…

Choose from nine playable Legendary Lords that will lead your race into battle, and enjoy a wider selection of individual races than any previous Total War: WARHAMMER core title.

Brand New Legendary Lord: The Daemon Prince!

  • Rise in the name of Chaos Undivided as the immortal Daemon Prince, leading the Legion of Chaos. Create your own unique daemonic design, and unleash the combined power of the four Chaos Gods upon your enemies!
  • Earn Daemonic Glory, a currency specific to the Daemon Prince.
  • Trade your Daemonic Glory for new attributes, weapons, spells and stat boosts.
  • Customise your own unique combination of artefacts, abilities and appendages.
  • Create terrifying armies from Daemonic units of each of the four Chaos Gods.
  • Choose to pledge allegiance to one of the Chaos Gods or remain loyal to Chaos Undivided!

Great game right out the gates, just a ton of content. Looking forward to all the DLC and extra polish that's coming too!

Unfinished garbage as always with CA

-Playing this on very decent hardware and performance is a giant issue. -Bug ridden with old and new ones -New sieges abysmal The mixed Steam reviews are more than deserved and have little to nothing to do with actual review bombing. If you want to pay that much money only to end up as Alpha/Beta tester for CA go ahead.

With the introduction of Immortal Empires and changes to monetization (WH1/2 DLCs can be bought without owning WH1/2), this is the ultimate Total War experience. Great unit and faction variety, many spells and active abilities and generally tons of different mechanics. There are still some kinks to work out and some old factions need to be reworked (hello, Dwarfs and Lizardfolk) but overall, content is incredible. What's not so great is performance, especially on higher than FullHD resolutions and interestingly enough, the map performance is actually worse than battle performance. So you either need low details, use upscaling or get decent GPU (for 1440p High quality, the Radeon RX 6800 is the minimum). As for multiplayer, it's a great improvement from previous Total War titles - there is now up to 8 player MP and also simultaneous turns (with the exception of battles and army interactions in general, of course). I have experienced some crashes and disconnects but nothing too serious or frequent. The game is in great place and future looks good too. 9/10

The game is enjoyable. More of the same from the series. Plenty of love given to the new factions, units, animations, etc. Tutorial is actually a nice story intro and the new campaign is unique and enjoyable (at least on first playthrough). Of course, most people are getting this for Immortal Empires. Unfortunately, the balance between the old and new has great disparity in terms of mechanics, strengths, etc. Further, rhe issues of old still rear their head. The anti player bias and balance of power is still something CA has not gotten down. Mods can remedy some of these issues, but the core is compromised to a degree. Most mechanics were refined to a reasonable degree with Medieval II, and CA has only made lateral improvements for the most part (more than a decade ago). Not to say you will not enjoy the game, but know what you are getting into. I did and I am fine with that, but if I want to have this series continue to grow and improve, I will voice my opinions.

The final chapter of the critically acclaimed warhammer total war franchise. It introduces some amazing new factions with interesting mechanics and cool new units. The visuals are fantastic and there are lots of quality of life improvements from the previous game. However, the campaign has some questionable mechanics that can get tiresome. Looking forward, this game will receive mod support on steam and a new map for the complete experience and I expect the game will then be 5 star worthy. Edit: It has been over a month and the developers have gone relatively radio silent about fixing the many problems with the game. It is very frustrating that the update cycle is so slow and they still haven't enabled mod support so modders can't fix the game for them.

Warhammer 3 is a great start for the 3rd game in the Warhammer series. It has some bugs and optimization issues but hopefully those will get ironed out soon. I personally experience crashes whenever rotflies and rotfly mounts seem to move up and down on the z axis. I also agree with what a few reviewers say that the realms of chaos mechanic are also a bit lack luster in what they are and what you can get off of the individual realms. Also, coming off of Warhammer 2, the starting faction lineups seem light, especially for the 4 ruinous powers but this is something that will likely get expanded as time goes on. But other than that the game offers more of the same great experience from Warhammer 1 & 2 and its new mechanics offer a solid foundation from which they can expand from. Looking forward for the Immortal Empires update and the all the future races and units coming down the pipeline.
